Project InTandem

  • "Providing Yin and Yang on one program giving the viewer a diverse experience."

Jessica Gutteridge, Artistic Managing Director Norman & Annette Rothstein

    Theatre & Chutzpah! Festival

  • "This is one of the best Contemporary dance shows I've seen by an Alberta Dance Artist in

my time at the Centre. The show also takes you to a sensorial place and makes you feel

something, and that is a rare occurrence maintaining this level of physicality."

Nick Beach, General Manager, Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre

  • “I only curate highly trained and physical dance works and your works fall into that

    category.”

    Mary-Lousie Albert, Chutzpah! Festival

Project InTandem is a bi-annual contemporary dance production platform in Calgary. We create evening-length dance opportunities for emerging artists in Canada.

Project InTandem was initiated in 2017 as a coming together of emerging artists Meghann Michalsky, Matthew Hall, & Sylvie Moquin to create more opportunities in Calgary. Michalsky & Moquin are now the sole Artistic Directors of the Platform.

Our partnership is based on shared respect for each other's work, strong accountability to one another, and the ability to challenge each other to strive for the highest level of artistic integrity.  As co-producers, we value the economic benefits of working together and acknowledge the advantages of collaboration, as our projects are far less feasible for one individual to accomplish.

“As female dance artists who are boldly venturing to make waves in the prairie region, we view the Project InTandem platform as a vehicle to express our voices and enrich our community. We are passionate for contemporary dance to thrive in Calgary.”

Currently, we are in process with Meghann Michalsky for Project InTandem 4.0. She is creating a new evening-length work.
