YYC CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE TRAINING
Our History
YYC Contemporary Technique Training is a platform offering two professional-level dance classes per week for Calgary’s Contemporary Dance community. The offering was created by Kyra Newton and Meghann Michalsky in 2018. Michalsky is now the sole Artistic Director of YYC CTT. Our programming is annually supported by W&M Dance Projects and Dancers’ Studio West.
Our Mandate
YYC CTT's goal this year is to build the capacity of the dancers in the room, especially their stamina and range of physicality. It is really important to us that dancers in Calgary have the opportunity to train and propel their skills.
Our Season
We host emerging and established teachers both local and national artists
Classes run Tuesday’s & Thursday’s from 9:30 - 11 AM from September - December & January - May
Class are held at Evolved Movement Arts
Cost: cohort registration available & drop-in price of $17 per class
